Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th May 2005 at MADCAP, Milton Keynes

The play by Willy Russell.

Shirley Bradshaw (née Valentine) is an average housewife. Wedded to the home, she cooks, cleans and talks to the wall. She would have left, but had nowhere to go. Leaving a note on the kitchen table, she escapes to Greece.

Drinking a glass of wine in a country where the grape is grown, sitting by the sea and looking at the sun, she can become Shirley Valentine once more…

Production generously sponsored by Micro-Intec.

The proceeds from the Friday night performance were donated to the MK Womans Fund, a local charity to support women’s welfare and development.
